Tasks are where you define a discrete data movement activity. For example, you may want to pre-populate your Q1 Forecast with the data from your final Budget. You can create tasks that process numeric data and/or text (string) data from DataMaestro.
Tasks are managed from the Manage Tasks screen. From that screen you can:
Add a new Task by clicking the Add Task button.
Run a Task by clicking the play icon.
Edit a Task by clicking the pencil icon or double-clicking the Task name.
View the Task’s run history by clicking the book icon.
Delete a Task by clicking the trash can icon.
The Manage Tasks screen only includes Tasks that have been created and saved. If you create a Task on-the-fly and run it without saving (called Quick Run), it will not appear on this screen. To run multiple Tasks in a batch process, you need to create a Package.
