If you choose either Copy or Move Task types, you must identify the source data that you want to process into the target. Source data requirements differ based on the type of source you choose. Options are:
Single Cube – processes data from the defined source location from one cube to either another location within the same cube, another cube or a text file.
Multiple Cubes – processes data across all cubes that share specific dimension(s) that you select. For example, you can copy data from the Budget version to Q1 Forecast across all cubes in your database that include the version dimension.
Value – processes a specific numeric value you provide.
If you choose to process from a Single Cube or Multiple Cubes, you can enter a Multiply Factor. The Multiply Factor is used to multiply all values in your source data set by a single number. For example, a factor of 1.2 would increase all values in the target location by 20%. It is set to a value of 1 by default.
The remaining steps you take depend upon which source type you chose – Single Cube or Multiple Cubes.
