The Data Agent is a relatively small program which is run on a server within the customer’s local environment, typically directly on the same server as Planning Analytics,. An agent allows the DataMaestro cloud server to work with otherwise inaccessible Planning Analytics servers. This agent maintains an encrypted connection with the cloud server and waits for any queries it needs to run. When the server has a query to run, it sends it to the Data Agent which then runs the query and returns the results. 

System Requirements:

• Windows Server 2016 or later

• 40 MB free disk space

• Network access VIA port 443 to the DataMaestro Cloud server

• Network access to each TM1 server that the agent works with

• It is recommended to install the agent on the same server as the TM1 instance

• An Active DataMaestro License

• A TM1 administrator username and password will be needed during setup

Additional Requirements for TM1 authentication mode 3:

The Data Agent will run as a process using an Active Directory account linked to a TM1 ID that has Administrator access to the TM1 server.  A username and Password for this account will need to be provided during installation.
